Crime Story

00:00 / 02:21

When first arranging the song, I already knew somewhat of what i wanted to do, which was have an orchestral song. So, I added violins, horns, and an upright bass guitar. After I finished both sections, something was missing, so i decided to add some ambient sounds within the background, as well as reverb. The song to me kind of has an italian mafia vibe to it, to me, like maybe it could've been played in The Godfather. I had fun making this track, as it was out of my comfort zone. I'm going to try to step out of my comfort zone quite a bit here within the future.

Gettin' Better

When Creating this song, I stayed where I was more comfortable, barely stepping out of my comfort zone. I used all electronic instruments, I was going for a rap beat this time, but I still managed to make a “video game” song. Which Is cool, somebody has to design music for games. The song is the key of E minor, with the second half switching to the relative key to E minor, which is G major. The first half of the songs tempo is 110 BPM, and the second half slows down only 5 BPM, to 105 BPM. I made this song fairly quickly. Since I haven’t posted a song in awhile. I wanted to do something quick and easy. I actually dig the way the song turned out. Enjoy!!!

The Campsite

Here is a soundscape I had to make for an assignment this week. We had to get an image and make a soundscape based off of it. Since it’s October, I wanted to make something kind of scary. I’d like to try to make a short cartoon of this so there would be video, but I’m not a graphic designer, and idk one. So here is the Soundscape Creation: The Campsite.

Island Paradise

For this song, I wasn’t really sure where I wanted to go at first, but once I decided, I wanted to give the listener an island paradise vibe. The song is in the key of C major, using the dominant key, G major, during the bridge. I wanted the chord progression to have a positive effect on the listener to bring them to the resort. I’m not exactly sure what Genre you would classify this as. Since it sounds tropical and Caribbean influenced, I would say it is a Latin genre. Effects used were, reverb, echo, and compression. Automation used was volume automation and panning automation. This song was created in Ableton Live. I'm pretty satisfied with how this turned out, seeing that I was limited on time. Enjoy!!

This is the 2nd Techno song I’ve made. I’m satisfied with how it turned out. This genre isn’t my strong point so it kind of took me awhile to get it finished. I basically just went with what my ear was telling me as I was creating this song.  I had fun with this one, just kind of going with the flow. Enjoy!!

Radio Image

To create this project I had to come up with an idea for a radio commercial. I picked a style and just went with it.  Below I have it separated as it would be played on the radio.
